To the dismay of our clients, last year we had to cut short our program to Calabria in southern Italy, when in October Ryan Air decided to cancel the the only direct flight there was from Stanstead to Lamezia.  Throughout the whole season hundreds of clients had taken up this package providing direct flights to Lamezia, airport transfers, and accommodation at the four star Hotel Santa Lucia.

Quite a number of these clients wrote back to us to thank us for putting together this good value for money package, most of them commenting on the excellent standard of the hotel and the picturesque nearby town of Tropea.  Many of them commented however that although the hotel was good, and provided a convenient base from which to explore this part of Italy, you certainly needed a car to do so.

This set us thinking, and we thought we would do the program to southern Italy again this year with a difference.  We will fly you to either Naples, or Bari , which are the nearest airports to which  there is a direct flight from the U.K, and we will also provide you with a car to drive down to the Santa Lucia Hotel.

This will give you the opportunity to explore the outstanding Amalfi coast if you are driving down from Naples, or the Puglia region if you are driving from Bari. Above all you will have the use of the car for the whole stay, helping you to enjoy Calabria, and its fascinating and unspoilt beaches like Pizzo, Tropea and Capo Vaticano. or drive through the hearth of Calabria combining the magical with the mystical in some of the less frequently travelled areas of the whole of Italy. We encourage you to sample the mouth watering Calabrese cuisine with their fileja pasta,  the nduja salami and sun-dried tomatoes.

For the adventurous traveller this could well prove to be a holiday of a life time.
