The Valletta Grand Prix Foundation is pleased to announce the second Valletta Grand Prix Sprint Event to be held in the Unesco World Heritage City of Valletta during the first week of May 2010. This annual historic classic car event will run along the Valletta ring-road surrounding Malta's capital city.
The Valletta Grand Prix of historic and classic cars is an important element to Malta's calendar of events and to fellow motoring enthusiasts. It is aimed not only in promoting such an event with local aficionados, but also at drawing more tourists to the island and to create a niche market associated with such prestigious European Motor Sport activities.
This year's motoring event shall be attracting over 100 participants of whom some 40 of them will be foreigners for the main two-day street sprint events to be held on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th May.
In addition to the Saturday and Sunday events, the Valletta Grand Prix Foundation shall be organising a host of other activities that will incorporate various runs across Malta and Gozo, visiting historic sites and touristic venues. The climax to these activities will be the Concours D'Elegance to be held in Mdina, Malta's Old Capital City.
